Where is the best place to meet? Chances are one or both of you may have to travel some distance to meet. Avoid meeting where one of you is surrounded by your or their friends. Treat this first meeting as a "special" first date and don't assume you will inter-relate in the same way as you had been online. Avoid a situation and location where one of you might feel clumsy. Play safe and meet for a drink, rather than a meal. Go for a quiet type of venue - pub or wine bar where you can talk easily and privately.

Obviously you need to look your best. For some people style comes naturally. If you aren’t sure if you’ve got those skills ask a good friend to help you look right. Get yourself prepared to convey the best image to ensure physical attraction.

Should I take a gift? This is a tricky one. If in doubt - no gift, unless you have talked online about something you'd like to give or recieve.

Hopefully you've chatted and got to know your partner in a new way.
Now you need to end the evening. Depending on how well you got on will indicate how the goodnight procedure will go - back to a hotel room for a good shag, or just a polite thank you and make the next date. It's up to you. By now you should know - but don't assume anything, and don't ask.
